Peer Mentoring

Minnesota Paralyzed Veterans of America (MNPVA) continues to be a source of peer support for veterans with spinal cord injuries and disorders (SCI/D).  We provide support for those newly injured or diagnosed, as well as for those facing complications.  By intervening at early stages, we can provide a wide range of resources to help veterans cope with changing situations.

Connecting with an experienced leader from MNVPA can:

  • Help identify federal, state, and local resources

  • Be a listening ear

  • Help identify goals

  • Build positive friendships

  • Help with transitioning periods

  • Assist with gaining perspective on SCI/D conditions

  • Build confidence and motivation

  • Encourage and provide resources for staying or getting active

If you’d like to be connected with a peer mentor, please reach out today by contacting us and requesting more information.
