Minnesota Paralyzed Veterans of America (MNPVA) continues to be a source of peer support for veterans with spinal cord injuries and disorders (SCI/D). We provide support for those newly injured or diagnosed, as well as for those facing complications. By intervening at early stages, we can provide a wide range of resources to help veterans cope with changing situations.
Connecting with an experienced leader from MNVPA can:
- Help identify federal, state, and local resources
- Be a listening ear
- Help identify goals
- Build positive friendships
- Help with transitioning periods
- Assist with gaining perspective on SCI/D conditions
- Build confidence and motivation
- Encourage and provide resources for staying or getting active
If you’d like to be connected with a peer mentor, please reach out today by contacting Vicky Garrison at 507-273-5261 or fill out our short contact form, and we’ll get back to you promptly!
